I have the most difficult time selecting and pairing separates that are appropriate for work yet also encompasses my own personal style. Given the fact that the profession I am entering (accounting) seldom, if ever, favors the creative over the traditional in terms of dress, it is easy to fall into a standard neutral wardrobe: black suit, black heels, LBD types. It is times like these that I typically consult the Shopbop Lookbooks, great for any fashion crisis especially when it comes to wear-to-work. Following up on the 2012 (and beyond) resolution to incorporate more bright colors, I scanned the “Work with Color” lookbook, and was very pleased to have found some fresh inspiration that will only require one or two new additions to my current wardrobe to execute.
Have some favorite style tips on how to include color—literally or figuratively—into your work wardrobe? Let me know.
